Your New Role

Reporting to the VP Local Original Production, France & Germany, the Creative Executive is responsible for the editorial and creative oversight of selected scripted series within HBO Max France’s Originals team. The role ensures that projects are developed, shaped and delivered in line with the platform’s creative ambition, from early development through final delivery and launch. Operating across the full lifecycle of each series, the Creative Executive safeguards creative coherence, production alignment, and effective cross-functional execution through release.

Your Role Accountabilities

• Develop and oversee selected scripted series from the HBO France slate across development, production, post-production, delivery and launch, ensuring consistency of creative vision and alignment with platform strategy.
• Work closely with creators, producers and internal stakeholders to shape narrative, tone and creative direction.
• Lead editorial development of scripts, outlines and other creative materials, guiding progression decisions and ensuring readiness for greenlight and production.
• Oversee greenlit series in collaboration with internal and external production teams, ensuring creative intent is reflected in production execution, including budget and scheduling considerations.
• Maintain oversight through post-production and delivery to ensure editorial continuity and cross-functional alignment, including attendance and feedback on edits, grade and mix.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle, including Programming, Content Strategy and Analysis, Physical Production, Business Affairs/Legal, Finance, Marketing/PR/Social and Content Operations, to support end-to-end execution.
• Act as a key point of contact for external creative partners, ensuring clarity of direction and consistency across all stages of development and production.
• Identify and scout projects, talent and ideas aligned with the HBO brand and the platform’s editorial and commercial strategy.
• Maintain strong relationships with talent, agents and producers, including through attendance at relevant festivals and markets.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience overseeing high-end scripted series from a senior creative standpoint, whether in production, broadcasting or streaming.
• Exceptional script development and editing skills, with the ability to work at a high level with creators and leading talent.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of the French and international television production environments, as well as the broader broadcasting and streaming ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of premium, elevated, long-form scripted series aligned with the HBO brand.
• Fluency in French and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
