Position Summary

The Country Manager leads and proactively drives Zinpro’s commercial strategy and execution for the Monogastric & Ruminant business in France. This role takes full ownership of country level growth, market development, and customer and distributor partnerships, actively translating regional strategy into high impact local execution.

Operating from a home‑based environment, the role requires a highly self‑motivated, result driven leader who excels as an individual contributor while consistently collaborating across functions. Success is achieved through influence, strong relationships, and a team‑oriented mindset that aligns internal partners and external stakeholders around shared objectives.

Essential Functions

Commercial & Market Leadership

  • Own and execute the country’s commercial strategy aligned with regional and global priorities.
  • Develop and implement sales, account, and market development strategies to deliver sustainable growth and profitability.
  • Identify and prioritize key species, segments, customers, and channels within France.

Distributor & Customer Engagement

  • Proactively drive a coordinated market strategy in partnership with Marketing and Technical Services, working closely with key customers and stakeholders through joint business planning and disciplined performance management.
  • Grow sales through strong customer relationships, technical credibility, and value‑based sales.
  • Act as the primary commercial interface for key accounts and influencers within industry.

Value Based & Technical Selling

  • Manage and advance Zinpro’s differentiated value proposition by seamlessly integrating technical expertise, research insights, and technical support into commercial execution.
  • Partner closely with Marketing and Technical Support to support customer education, trials, and adoption.
  • Provide technical sales support to current and prospective customers to build long‑term partnerships.

Growth & Opportunity Development

  • Identify new products, market, and partnership opportunities aligned with Zinpro’s innovation and growth strategy.
  • Gather and share market intelligence to inform regional and global decision‑making.

Operational & Financial Accountability

  • Achieve sales and growth objectives within the approved budget.
  • Plan and manage territory activities efficiently to maximize commercial impact.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomic engineering, Agriculture, Animal Science, Veterinary Science, or related field.
  • Five or more years of related experience in the animal Nutrition sector.
  • Experience managing customer networks and supporting technical and commercial needs within the animal nutrition and production industries.
  • Proven ability to execute technical sales and marketing activities, applying sound judgment, creativity, and autonomy to achieve goals.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to present complex technical information and interact effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Full professional fluency in English is required.
  • Comfortable working in a mid‑sized company environment; proficient with Microsoft Office and internet‑based tools.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

The work environment consists of multiple different environments: standard office, long periods in a motor vehicle, farms, animal producers, manufacturing facilities, and/or at client/customers facilities.

Positions in this class typically require typing, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.

Schedule Requirements

This position is expected to be worked within core business hours and requires participation in customer/client events & meetings, and industry events.

Travel Requirements

Expected to travel as needed in accordance with company standards, with travel primarily within France and occasional international travel for internal and external meetings and conferences. Business travel represents approximately 50% of the role.
