Country Manager

Our client, an international medical technology business, is seeking an entrepreneurial Country Manager to lead its France legal entity. The role carries full P&L responsibility and accountability for growth, market expansion, and organisational development across the French market.

Reporting to Senior Leadership, the Country Manager will define and execute the local business strategy, lead the team, and manage relationships with key external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• P&L ownership: Full accountability for revenue, profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. Deliver annual operating plans aligned with the global strategy.
• Business development: Define and execute the France market strategy, optimising portfolio, pricing, and customer mapping. Identify new opportunities, partnerships, and routes to market.
• Organisational design & talent: Evolve the local structure to support growth. Recruit, develop, and retain top talent in partnership with global HR. Embed performance management, succession planning, and a strong performance culture.
• Governance & compliance: Ensure compliance with French legal, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements. Provide transparent reporting to leadership.

You Will Possess

• Senior leadership experience (Managing Director, Country Manager, or Sales Director) with full P&L accountability.
• Strong background in commercial strategy or sales leadership within a B2B environment.
• Proven experience managing direct sales models.
• Comfortable operating within an international, matrixed organisation.
• Strong financial acumen and a hands‑on, entrepreneurial execution style.
• Inspirational people leader with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
