Country Controller- Electrophysiology- Issy-les-Moulineaux H/F
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Country Controller is the closest financial partner of the Commercial Country Leader and the Regional Controller South EP to drive the financial performance of the country. He/she has primary responsibility for the country Profit & Loss as well as designated Balance Sheet areas, ensuring strong financial stewardship, compliance, and sustainable value creation. The focus of the role lies in driving profitable growth through strong business partnering and forward-looking financial analysis. This includes a deep understanding of business performance, profitability drivers, risks and opportunities. The Country Controller owns commercial risk management and develops mitigation plans to address financial exposures. The Country Controller has full transparency into all aspects of the P&L and relevant Balance Sheet accounts and actively participates in all drivers of value creation, including pricing, margin management, investments, rebates, receivables management and working capital optimization. In addition, the Country Controller is responsible for the monitoring, reconciliation, analysis and certification of assigned Balance Sheet accounts.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accountable for development and delivery of all LBE commitments.
- Provide financial leadership and business partnering to commercial and regional leadership teams.
- Deliver ongoing analysis of revenue, gross margin, capital expenditures, and operating expenses with focus on risks and opportunities.
- Lead margin development initiatives and identify opportunities to improve profitability through pricing, product/customer mix and cost optimization.
- Monitor and analyze gross margin performance and track margin improvement projects.
- Own the review, monitoring and validation of assigned Balance Sheet accounts: AR, DSO and rebate related accruals.
- Perform periodic balance sheet reconciliations and balance confirmations.
- Ensure full compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
EDUCATION & COMPETENCIES
- Minimum of 10 years experience
- Proven financial influencing skills at management level.
- Ability to drive change amongst peers and commercial leaders.
- Strong Business Partnering skills.
- Proven mastery on large data handling and tool-driven data analysis.
- Strong experiences on Excel and an established data-cube system (Hyperion, Dodeca, etc.).
- Sufficient accounting and compliance experience to set the tone to the overall organization (e.g. Big4 or Internal Audit experience) and to drive changes in SAP and other Accounting-related systems where needed.
- Visible passion for change management
- Native (or equivalent) in French, and fluent (spoken and written) in English
- Team player within a matrix organization design
