Cost Engineer/Cost Controller

Westlakes Recruit is currently recruiting for experienced cost engineers/cost controllers with a background in pharmaceutical/life sciences projects to be engaged on a permanent basis across Mainland Europe. The available locations include Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Sweden and Switzerland.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Manager of Project Controls, the successful candidate will perform cost analysis, cost management and cost control activities.

Responsibilities

• Apply project controls processes and systems utilization
• Project set‑up, close‑out and reconciliations
• Ensure correct cost allocation
• Project cost forecasting
• Revenue and gross margin monitoring
• Ensure corporate systems are up to date and accurately reflect the project
• Monitor aged debt of the project
• Project financial reviews
• Prepare client‑specific monthly reports
• Contribute to progress meetings as required, in support of the Project Manager
• Interface and integrate with the project controls team to maintain an aligned financial position with the project plan
• Earned value analysis
• Monitor key performance indicators as necessary
• Risk and opportunity management relative to the cost engineering role
• Contribute to lessons learned process throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical), Science, Mathematics
• Experience in Project/Business Management, Accounts or Risk Management background

Desirable

• Relevant professional designation or certification in cost engineering or project controls
