Cosmetic Ingredient Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Cosmetic Ingredient Analyst to carry out the analytical studies required for the development of natural cosmetic active ingredients. He / she will be joining a dynamic team of 20+ scientists in a multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for development and implementation of various physicochemical & chromatographic techniques (LC-UV / MS, HPTLC, GC-FID / MS) to screen chemical families of interest, to characterize and quantify active substances.
• Reviews scientific literature, conducts experiments, analyzes data, creates reports, and makes presentations to team and colleagues, transforms data into usable information and makes recommendations
• Creates product specifications
• Works in close collaboration with the Analytical team and the Heath & Wellness team
• Participates in patent review and redaction
• Participates in day-to-day lab activities and preventive and / or corrective maintenance of analytical systems and in the development, implementation and improvement of the IFF Quality Management System

Job Requirements

• Robust skills in chemical analysis of natural active ingredients (5+ years)
• Good knowledge of natural extracts and their cosmetics uses
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and drive cross-functional projects
• Innovation and proactive mindset
• Ability to work in full autonomy and to collaborate effectively in a positive attitude
• Problem solving skills and collaborative spirit
• Effective communication in French and English (verbal and written), organizational, and interpersonal skills
