IT Operations Specialist (f/m)

Airbus Helicopters is looking for an IT Operations Specialist to join our Support & Services and Manufacturing Services PSL in the Domain PLM based in Marignane, France.

The Marignane site, the 3rd largest industrial site in France, near Marseille and Aix-en-Provence, is undergoing a deep transformation to offer a high‑tech, inclusive, and environmentally friendly working environment.

You will live a unique professional experience, at the heart of the manufacturing of our helicopters.

Future missions

You will be part of a team developing the tool chain permitting to support the Aircraft documentation for all programs. As part of the Support Engineering team, you will be involved in the organization of the project management for Agile Teams, Product manager team ensuring the delivery of all projects in the S&S scope.

Main missions

• Ensuring the provisioning of new software packages and upgrades.
• Maintaining the infrastructure in operational condition in line with OLA/SLAs.
• Monitoring and tracking system performance against negotiated service‑level agreements (SLAs).
• Communicating improvement, update and obsolescence management of products to the IT Product Manager.
• Providing support 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, depending on the needs of the company and the use of automated scheduling and remote monitoring.
• Performing the ITIL based support processes that include incident, problem, change, configuration, and event management.
• Analyzing console messages, diagnosing system failures and taking corrective action in order to ensure continuity of operations, escalating to other technical teams and vendors as needed.
• Supervising system backup processing, and leading disaster recovery tests. Identifying and implementing technologies and processes that improve the reliability, efficiency and availability of the systems environment.

Profile

Technical Skills (Hard Skills)

• Systems: Advanced proficiency in Windows Server (Active Directory, GPO) and/or Linux/Unix environments.
• Virtualization: Essential experience with VMware or Hyper‑V.
• Networking: Solid knowledge of network architectures, TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Automation: Strong scripting ability (PowerShell or Python) for administration and automation.
• Cloud (A plus): Familiarity with the services of a major Cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Monitoring: Knowledge of supervision tools such as Zabbix, Nagios, or other.

Professional Qualities (Soft Skills)

• Incident Resolution: Quick analysis and diagnostic capabilities, even under pressure.
• Rigor: Adherence to procedures, attention to detail, and quality documentation.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with technical and non‑technical teams.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Bac+5) in IT, Networks, Systems Administration, or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role (IT Operations, Systems/Network Admin, L2 Support).
• Languages: Mandatory Technical English (reading documentation, communication with publishers/vendors).
