#CORE IT Operations Specialist (M/F)
Overview
Airbus Helicopters is looking for an Infrastructure & Application Manager (RIA / ROA) – DevOps / SRE Oriented or an IT Operational Specialist to join the Support & Services and Manufacturing Services PSL within the PLM department based in Marignane, France. The Marignane site, France's 3rd largest industrial facility, is undergoing a profound transformation to offer a high‑tech, inclusive, and environmentally responsible work environment. You will experience a unique professional journey at the heart of our helicopter manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Operations (MCO) & SLAs : Guarantee the maintenance in operational condition (MCO) of the infrastructure in accordance with OLAs/SLAs. Monitor and track system performance against negotiated service level agreements (SLAs).
- Provisioning & CI/CD : Ensure the provisioning of new software packages and upgrades, continuous integration, and deployment on our containerized platform (OpenShift / Kubernetes).
- ITIL "As Code" : Apply ITIL-based support processes—incident, problem, change, configuration, and event management—by translating these processes into automation via an automation chain (e.g., Ansible) to prevent recurrences.
- Support & SRE : Provide level 3 application support on web technologies (complex log investigations, HTTP/S flows). Identify and implement technologies and processes that improve the reliability, efficiency, and availability of the system environment.
- Budget & FinOps : Manage and optimize the IT and Cloud budget for your application scope (FinOps approach) by right‑sizing resources.
- Continuous Improvement : Inform the IT Product Manager of improvements, updates, and product obsolescence management.
Qualifications
- Technical Skills (Hard Skills)
- Containerization: Essential expertise in the OpenShift and Kubernetes ecosystem.
- Automation & IaC: Solid scripting skills (PowerShell or Python) for administration and automation, with advanced mastery of Ansible and/or Terraform.
- Systems & Web: Advanced mastery of Linux/Unix and/or Windows Server environments (Active Directory, GPOs), web servers (Nginx, HAProxy), and certificate management.
- Networks: Solid knowledge of network architectures, TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Monitoring: Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.
- Methodology: Mastery of ITIL concepts applied to a DevOps environment.
- Professional Qualities (Soft Skills)
- Incident Resolution: Ability to analyze and diagnose quickly, even under pressure.
- Rigor: Respect for procedures, attention to detail, and high‑quality documentation writing.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with both technical and non‑technical teams.
- Awareness of budgetary challenges (FinOps).
- Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree (Bac+5) in computer science, networks, systems administration, or equivalent.
- Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role (IT Operations, Systems/Network Administration, L2/L3 Support) with a production engineering focus.
- Languages : Technical English mandatory.
