Controlling Group Business Process Owner H/F
GEODIS has launched its FIT project in November 2023 to implement its Finance Core Model processes in a robust blend of solutions (S4 HANA and Coupa). This transformation will progressively deploy the core model across 52 countries over the next few years, standardizing procurement and finance processes such as Record‑to‑Report, Order‑to‑Cash, Source‑to‑Pay, Record‑to‑Pay, Treasury, and Controlling. The Controlling process, critical for the company, has been aligned with a single language and supported by an MDM Finance solution and a data lake, together with the ORACLE Cloud EPM solution for performance management.
Mission & main responsibilities
- Promote and explain GEODIS Business Transformation ambitions to internal and external stakeholders on Controlling processes & tools (End‑to‑end View).
- Contribute as a leader or collaborator to bring business insights and ensure the Core Model is respected.
- Frame waves and prepare business activities.
- Conduct fit‑gap analysis and decision‑making to maintain core model consistency, and propose adjustments when beneficial.
- Design detailed activities aligned with the Core Model.
- Participate in test phases, including User Acceptance Tests and System Integration Tests when required.
- Support data migration activities.
- Manage change, including training activities.
- Provide hyper‑care support after deployment.
- Animate a community of local process owners (LBPO) to promote and explain core model processes.
- Secure interdependency management with other GEODIS projects not covered by FIT.
- Act as the Core Model Guardian for the Controlling Process and lead continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with local contributors, functional directors, product owners, and IT teams.
- Collaborate closely with other Group Business Process Owners.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (BAC+5) from a Business School, Institut d’Études Politiques, engineering school, or equivalent.
- Excellent finance process knowledge with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Controlling.
- Project Management experience.
- Appetite for IT subjects and excellent knowledge of SAP and satellite finance applications and data flows.
- Very good communication skills to animate a large and demanding community.
- Curious, open‑minded and solution oriented.
- Team player.
- Ability to work in a challenging environment, to frame your own approach and to adjust your plan to manage time and risks in a project environment.
- Fluent in both French and English (working languages).
Project Status (High‑level)
- Core Model Process finalized (initial version) by end of 2024.
- Pilot implementation in 2025 and Go‑live in October 2025.
- Core Model finalization (Line of Business specifics, enhanced core model) and deployment waves to start from 2026 first quarter.
