The role

We have recently entered the French market, and we are now looking for a Controller to take a key role in developing the regional finance function. The environment is fast‑paced, hands‑on and change‑driven. As Market Controller at The Nutriment Company, you will combine monthly reporting with solid business understanding, ensuring we have cost transparency, COGS control and budget discipline.

This is a role where a sharp commercial and financial mindset translates directly into how well we grow in France. The role reports to the local managing director with a dotted line to Group VP of Financial control. The role will have one direct report – the accountant in France.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Oversee daily financial operations and ensure accurate accounting records.
  • COGS & Cost Control.
  • Challenge operations and other leads on cost development.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow.
  • Manage budgets and forecasting activities.

Budget, Forecast & Discipline

  • Deliver France budget and forecast processes.
  • Ensure clean assumptions, clear cost ownership and timely reforecasting.
  • Implement pragmatic budget vs actual tracking.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Improve analytical reporting on top of ERPs and accounting system.
  • Support KPI, cost structure and reporting harmonization.
  • Work closely with Group Financial Control and Group Business Control.
  • Inventory transparency and steering.
  • AR / AP monitoring and cash impact.
  • Ensure compliance with tax, legal regulations and internal control framework.

Profile

  • 3–6 years of experience in business controlling / financial controlling / business analysis.
  • Experience from a similar environment: scale‑up, dynamic, integration environment.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and French.
  • Cost‑ and inventory‑heavy business background is a plus (FMCG, production, logistics).

Skills

  • Strong Excel and analytical structuring skills.
  • Solid ERP understanding and proficiency with systems.
  • Ability to translate numbers into actions.
