Key Responsibilities
As a R&D Management Controller, you will be the financial pillar of our innovation and research activities. You will ensure innovative initiatives are financially sound, providing clear analyses to support strategic decisions.
You will partner with senior leadership to prioritize projects, allocate resources, and make investment decisions. You will challenge and validate business cases, assessing financial impact, risks, and expected ROI.
You will coordinate the financial planning cycle for innovation activities, including annual budget, forecasts, and long‑term planning. By consolidating data and interpreting variances, you will translate financial information into clear operational recommendations for management.
You will ensure rigorous cost control and financial tracking of development activities, including consistent accounting treatment of development investments in line with internal policies.
You will provide clear and relevant performance reporting, transforming financial and operational data into insights that facilitate informed decision‑making.
Beyond financial analysis, you will strengthen financial processes, reporting tools, and internal controls. You will identify potential risks, highlight key topics to senior management, and contribute to continuous improvement of the finance organization.
You will actively collaborate within the finance team, sharing knowledge across functions.
Qualifications
- Academic background at least Bac+5 (Master) in finance, economics, or related field.
- Strong experience in management or financial control, ideally in an R&D, innovation, or industrial context.
- Blend of technical control expertise and business‑partnering mindset to understand and challenge business dynamics.
- Ability to shift from detailed administrative precision to high‑level strategic discussions.
- Strong analytical capability, structured mindset, sensitivity to systems and processes.
- Proactive, risk‑aware, and willing to challenge when necessary.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong English proficiency (manager and some team members do not speak French).
