As the institutional representative of over 45 million businesses in more than 170 countries, the International Chamber of Commerce operates with a core mission to “make business work for everyone, every day, everywhere”.

We act as the primary voice of the real economy in a range of intergovernmental organisations – from the World Trade Organization to the UN climate process – championing the needs of local business in global decision making.

The convening power of our global network enables us to set rules and standards that facilitate over $17 trillion dollars in trade each year – as well as providing tailored products and digital services that directly address the real challenges faced by businesses operating internationally.

We also provide the world’s premier private global dispute resolution services, leveraging ICC’s unique independence, integrity and expertise.

The Assignment

ICC is seeking an experienced consultant to support a 12-month assignment focused on the development and commercialisation of innovative products and services. The objective of the assignment is to help transform ideas into market-leading solutions that generate revenue, strengthening ICC's ability to enable global trade and advance responsible business practices.

Working closely with the ICC Product Innovation Lab, the Product Leaders Community and other key stakeholders, the consultant will contribute to the end-to-end development of new products and services, from opportunity identification through to market launch.

Scope of Services

The assignment will include:

  • Designing and implementing new consulting, advisory, product and service offerings, including service scope, delivery methodologies, resourcing models and commercial approaches.
  • Identifying and assessing new market opportunities through research, stakeholder engagement, design-thinking methodologies and analysis of industry trends, emerging technologies and competitor activity.
  • Evaluating and prioritising opportunities using commercially focused, ROI-driven criteria, translating concepts into business cases, roadmaps and actionable initiatives.
  • Developing go-to-market strategies, pricing models and growth plans to maximise adoption, revenue generation and market impact.
  • Building strategic partnerships and leveraging market intelligence, analytics and user feedback to continuously strengthen ICC's products, services and long-term commercial success.

The assignment requires a strong entrepreneurial perspective, a deep understanding of market dynamics and the ability to identify and develop new product opportunities.

Successful delivery of the assignment will depend on the ability to translate complex challenges into scalable, high-value solutions, engage effectively with global stakeholders and build strategic partnerships that enhance ICC's products and services offering.

ICC welcomes proposals from consultants who can demonstrate:

  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience spanning innovation strategy, product development, go-to-market strategy and/or consulting.
  • Demonstrated success in designing, launching and scaling new products, services or advisory offerings, including the development of business cases, delivery models and commercial approaches.
  • Experience working with international organisations, membership-based organisations or trade associations would be an asset.
  • Strong strategic and entrepreneurial capabilities, with the ability to design and implement innovation initiatives that align commercial objectives with organisational purpose.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying market opportunities, developing business cases and scaling successful products or services.
  • Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder initiatives and bringing complex projects to successful completion.
  • Proven ability to engage and collaborate with diverse international stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including the use of data and performance metrics to inform decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with full professional proficiency in English. French and/or an additional language would be an advantage.
  • Estimated start date: ASAP
  • Business unit: Transformation Office
  • Location: Remote (with travel as required) or ICC International Headquarters, Paris
  • Engagement type: Independent consultancy agreement
  • Duration: Twelve (12) months

At ICC, we make business work for everyone, every day, everywhere. And when we say “everyone”, we mean it. We celebrate the diversity of our people and strive to inspire acceptance, cultivate a culture where difference matters, inclusion is essential, and equality of opportunity is for everyone.
