Container IT operation manager m/f
Job Overview
Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Container IT Operations Manager (f/m) to join our DICB Containers & Private Cloud team based in Toulouse, France. You will be part of a team developing Hybrid Hosting & Cloud Infrastructure solutions. As part of the Containers & Private Cloud Team, you will be involved in operating mission‑critical Kubernetes platforms aiming at securing Airbus multi‑cloud strategy and enabling company digitalization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end‑to‑end platform lifecycle, directing strategic roadmaps, version upgrades, and obsolescence tracking for our massive OpenShift/Kubernetes infrastructure.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for external editors to resolve complex software bugs and coordinate patching cycles.
- Drive infrastructure GitOps orchestration using ArgoCD for cluster administration alongside global governance and security hardening via ACM/ACS.
- Lead ITIL‑based operational processes (incident, problem, change) and head Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to maintain constant 24/7 stability.
- Coordinate international administrator teams and collaborate with platform architects to ensure infrastructure availability aligns with negotiated SLAs.
Qualifications
- Background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience building, deploying, and operating cloud container solutions (Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, Rancher).
- Solid background in Linux system administration (RHEL, Ubuntu) and GitOps/Automation workflows (ArgoCD, Ansible, Terraform).
- Advanced proficiency level in both English and French.
