The Red Hat Consulting team seeks a Consultant focused on Red Hat Cloud Products to join us in Strasbourg, France. In this role you will specialize in delivering infrastructure services on top of the OpenShift platform. You will lead the on‑site implementation of Red Hat’s technologies such as Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization and Red Hat OpenShift AI. You will play a key role in the enterprise development of our customers, helping make our solutions both practical and workable for their businesses. You will work to gain an understanding of customer infrastructure and business needs, make recommendations that resolve their issues, and help them make strategic decisions.
Location and Travel
This role requires the Consultant to work five days a week from the customer site in Strasbourg. Availability to travel across the region is also required.
What You Will Do
- Serve as a subject‑matter expert at the customer site, addressing technical, development, or strategic IT requirements.
- Understand industry practices and Red Hat’s policies, procedures, and values.
- Demonstrate good judgment in selecting the best methods to obtain solutions.
- Implement and integrate Red Hat’s open‑and hybrid‑cloud solutions, including Red Hat OpenShift and other Red Hat offerings.
- Collaborate with project and customer team members to meet timelines and goals.
- Contribute to project documentation and diagrams, including ticket or bug management.
- Mentor and share your knowledge with customers.
- Define and promote the adoption of automation techniques and DevOps processes to improve the cloud life cycle, including infrastructure and application uptime, availability, and time‑to‑market.
- Implement solutions using cloud technologies, design principles, integration points, and automation methods.
What You Will Bring
- 4+ years of experience working directly with enterprise stakeholders on infrastructural projects.
- 2+ years of experience with advanced knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift or underlying components such as Kubernetes and Docker.
- 2+ years of experience in IT automation with Ansible.
- Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD, RHACM, Helm, Git, and Kustomize.
- Deep knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Experience implementing system infrastructure and cloud solutions, including data storage, networking, monitoring, virtualization, and security.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, particularly in technical documentation.
- Ability to study independently, learn quickly, and apply new ideas.
- Passion for open source, software, tooling, and automation.
- Excellent communication skills in English and French.
Skills That Will Be Considered a Plus
- VMware experience.
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification.
- Working experience with DevOps and agile processes.
- Experience using public cloud technologies and providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.
