Job Description

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a SAP ME/PP Inhouse Consultant (f/m/x) to join our ERP Production and Manufacturing team based in Elancourt, France. You will be part of a team developing and optimizing our SAP landscape within the manufacturing domain, supporting, optimizing, and developing the landscape to cover the full scope of the target landscape delivered by the ERP program.

Working Environment

The position is located in France and may require occasional business trips. Elancourt is near Paris, close to the Palace of Versailles, and offers cultural and outdoor activities.

Responsibilities

• Act as a subject‑matter expert for SAP MII/ME and SAP PP modules, providing in‑depth functional and technical support and understanding end‑to‑end information flow.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex SAP ME/PP issues to ensure system stability and performance.
• Analyse business requirements from manufacturing stakeholders and translate them into effective SAP solutions.
• Design, configure, customise, and implement new functionalities and enhancements within SAP ME and PP.
• Perform system testing and user‑acceptance testing (UAT) coordination, and provide end‑user training and documentation.
• Participate in project planning, execution, and go‑live activities for SAP‑related initiatives.
• Collaborate with other SAP consultants, IT teams, and business units to ensure seamless integration across modules and systems.
• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimisation within the manufacturing landscape.
• Stay up‑to‑date with SAP advancements and best practices, particularly within the ME/PP domain.

Qualifications

• Proven professional experience as an SAP Inhouse Consultant or similar role, strong focus on SAP ME and/or SAP PP.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and mapping in SAP, including extensive experience in SAP ME configuration (master data, production orders, shop floor control, integration).
• Strong knowledge of SAP PP functionalities (MRP, production orders, discrete manufacturing, capacity planning), experience with SAP S/4HANA, and familiarity with integration technologies such as IDocs and APIs.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural team.
• Fluency in English required; French language skills are a plus.
