CONSTRUCTION SITE METHODS COORDINATOR (2026-164779)
Join an international group, a leader in low‑carbon growth and committed to tackling climate change.
NUWARD, an EDF subsidiary, is dedicated to developing the Group’s small modular nuclear reactors (SMRs). NUWARD is designing a multi‑energy platform capable of delivering low‑carbon, competitive electricity and heat to meet the needs of industry and cities. Our SMR, known as the "NUWARD SMR", features a simple, modular, and prefabricated design, drawing on the proven technologies and expertise of the existing nuclear fleet.
Our ambition: to deliver Europe’s first SMR during the 2030s. Do you want to help build a safe, low‑carbon, and competitive energy future for Europe? Join us on this journey!
Responsibilities
You will report to the Head of Construction, Modularity and Constructability, and you will be in charge of the definition of the work site logistics allowing the competitiveness of NUWARD SMR with regards to the construction and commissioning schedule. Your responsibility will be to implement from the design stage the methods and logistics to consider construction and constructability in the design, in order to achieve the objectives: reduce NUWARD SMR construction duration.
- Contribute to the Constructability strategy and ensure its consistent application between the Islands from a logistical point of view.
- Define and optimize logistic path within each island and integrate them into the worksite plot plan.
- Define transport logistics inside the work site for all modules (especially the largest one).
- Ensure that logistic tools (storage area, type of crane, crane positioning, etc.) are taken into account in a homogeneous manner.
- Develop plans at the scale of the facility or Island that integrate, coordinate and sequence construction activities to obtain the optimal construction sequence (efficient and safe, taking into account feedback from European construction companies). These plans include: introduction routes and handling of equipment and materials, construction site supply, temporary services (scaffolding, temporary utilities, etc.), working areas, warehousing areas, storage areas.
- Develop generic site activities prior to the FCD (First Concrete Date) and define workshops, warehouses, and temporary site equipment that can be used for the construction of the Islands.
