Construction Projects & Workplace Manager France

Location: Créteil, FR

We are looking for a Construction Projects & Workplace Manager to join our Construction team and contribute to the development, delivery, and long‑term evolution of our corporate environments across France, primarily within the Paris region. Reporting to the Corporate Construction Director France, the role combines construction project delivery, workplace transformation, and operational integration across multiple sites and initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

Construction & Workplace Projects

  • Lead and coordinate construction, fit‑out, refurbishment, and workplace evolution projects across corporate sites.
  • Contribute to the development of functional, high‑quality, and business‑oriented workplace solutions.
  • Ensure alignment between technical performance, operational efficiency, user experience, and aesthetic quality.
  • Support ongoing workplace adaptations and future transformation initiatives.

Stakeholder & Technical Coordination

  • Act as a key interface between construction teams, workplace users, facilities operations, leadership stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and technical specialists throughout project phases.
  • Review and refine technical and design proposals to ensure coherent and efficient outcomes.
  • Navigate complex stakeholder environments with a pragmatic and collaborative mindset.

Team Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Take responsibility from day one for the management and development of a dedicated local project team, while contributing to its future growth within the French organization.
  • Foster a collaborative and high‑performing team culture focused on ownership and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong synergies with maintenance, facilities, building operations, and workplace teams to ensure continuity between project delivery and future operations.
  • Collaborate with local and international design and workplace stakeholders to support the long‑term evolution of EssilorLuxottica’s environments.

Operational Transition

  • Prepare the transition from project delivery to future operations in close coordination with maintenance and facilities teams.
  • Contribute to the long‑term sustainability, usability, and flexibility of workplace environments.

Candidate Profile

  • Master’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, workplace, fit‑out, or refurbishment projects within structured organizations.
  • Strong understanding of workplace environments and owner‑side project management (“maîtrise d’ouvrage” approach).
  • Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands‑on execution in dynamic environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and technical interfaces simultaneously.
  • Leadership potential with the ability to develop teams and foster cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Fluent in French and English; Italian is a plus.
