Consolidation Expert
The Consolidation Expert will be responsible for preparing AXA Group Operations mother company consolidated accounts submitted to AXA Group headquarters (Group consolidation and Group controlling) in accordance with IFRS standards. He/she will ensure accurate and timely analysis of financial statements and will also coordinate budgeting and forecasting phases with different stakeholders (Controlling, Accounting, etc). He/she will be responsible for ensuring timely completion of financial reporting according to established deadlines.
About The Job
Main missions
Your Responsibilities Include
- Prepare quarterly consolidated figures from statutory accounts: extraction of general trial balances from SAP S/4HANA and perform appropriate IFRS restatements in Excel
- Submit AXA Group Operations consolidated figures to the Group
- Make sure a full audit-trail is available to explain statutory to IFRS reporting differences
- Manage the whole quarterly closing process and analyze actual P&L/balance‑sheet versus forecast and explain variances
- Manage intercompany reporting follow‑up and reconciliation process
- Prepare supporting materials for management presentations to AXA Group
- Handle all requests coming from Group Consolidation and Group Controlling teams
- Ensure financial statements compliance with Group Accounting policies and memos
- Support the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive report elaboration
- Perform ad‑hoc analysis and reporting if required
- Build a consolidation level covering all AXA Group Operations entities
Expected Skills & Experience
Experience
A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in Consolidation, Accounting, Auditing with a strong background or understanding of consolidation topics.
Experience working with general ledger systems (S/4HANA for example) is strongly appreciated.
First experience within a Big 4 Company preferred but not mandatory.
Technical Skills
- Solid knowledge of consolidation techniques under IFRS standards
- Understanding of general accounting principles and policies
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
- SAP BFC Financial Consolidation (Magnitude) already used in past experiences
- Fluent English and French
- Attention to details to prepare financial statements and reportings
- Prioritize and organize its own work to meet strict deadlines
- Work well under pressure and effectively handle multiple demands
- Communicate clear and concise ideas both written and verbal
- Take initiative to identify improvement areas and implement corrective measures
- Discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information
- Team spirit and strong collaboration skills
Your place in the organization
You will join AXA Group Operations Finance. This division drives and monitors Group Operations strategic plan, sets budgets and efficiency targets, follows up and controls actuals versus budget targets, while providing timely, accurate and adequate financial information to enable thorough decision‑making and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
Our Main Missions
- Drive and monitor AXA GO strategic plan, budgets and efficiency targets. Track and control actuals compared to budget targets
- Establish and maintain cost accounting for AXA GO
- Define mechanisms for cost recharging to Entities, set rules to account for the financial implications of services provided, and monitor cash management
- Prepare and provide financial statements in compliance with regulatory requirements, ensure adherence to local and international tax regulations
- Coordinate and manage M&A projects (divestitures, internal transfer, business transfer) at AXA GO level
