Created in 2009, ESSP is a young and dynamic pan‑European service provider certified by EASA (the European Union Aviation Safety Agency) to deliver safety‑critical services. Our mission is to operate and provide Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) services, with the main one being the EGNOS service (the European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service) on behalf of the EUSPA (the European Agency for Space).

We are looking for a Configuration and Requirement Management Expert who will lead the implementation and continuous improvement of robust processes and tools for Documentation and Change Management, Requirements Management and traceability, and the Configuration Management of all assets involved in the Operations of our Systems and the provision of our services. For these activities, we seek an Engineer with 5 years’ experience in space or aeronautical domains and a very good level of English (minimum B2).

Requirements Management

  • Implementing simple & robust requirements management processes to ensure that:
  • Customer and Regulatory requirements (technical, safety, security) are properly captured,
  • Traceability of requirements in documents,
  • Compliance to such requirements is tracked and managed in configuration,
  • Statements of Compliance can be generated as required.
  • Acting as the functional responsible for the implementation and maintenance of requirements management tools (e.g Reqtify, Polarion…),
  • Animating a cross‑functional network with requirement owners to ensure ownership and compliance.

Configuration Management

  • Implementing a simple & robust configuration management process in accordance with the European space standard ECSS‑M‑ST‑40C – Configuration and information management,
  • Acting as the functional responsible for the implementation and maintenance of a CMDB tool set,
  • Animating a cross‑functional collaboration network with asset owners to ensure that:
  • For each system operated and service provided by the company, a Configuration Management Plan (CMP) defined and maintained throughout its lifecycle,
  • Configuration items are properly identified, inventoried, documented,
  • Configuration baselines are defined and recorded for each version of a technical system,
  • Close collaboration with Software development and Assurance is in place to ensure consistent software configuration,
  • Changes to configuration items are analyzed, submitted to the required Change Control Board, and recorded,
  • Dependencies between configuration items are identified and captured in configuration history/versioning,
  • Configuration Status Accounting Reports (CSAR) can be generated efficiently as required,
  • Contractual Items Status Lists (CISL) can be generated as required.

Documentation Management

You will support Quality Assurance and Documentation Management to ensure consistent and state‑of‑the‑art methods and tools are in place for efficient documentation production and control.

Profile

  • Knowledge of quality standards (ISO 9001)
  • Proficiency in Configuration Management databases (CMDB)
  • Proficiency in Requirements Management solutions: Reqtify, Polarion…
  • Proficiency in Documentation Management solutions: MS SharePoint, MS Word advanced functionalities, DMS solutions.
  • Knowledge of ECSS‑M‑ST‑40C would be a plus
  • Knowledge of DO178 or other software quality assurance standards would be a plus
  • Rigorous, autonomous
  • Good communication and capability to negotiate
  • Adaptability and ability to summarize
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, …)
  • High level of English (B2‑C1) – CECRL

Job Specifications

  • Engineering degree or equivalent
  • Available for punctual travels mainly in Europe
  • Subject to constraints of minimum presence during normal vacation periods (July/August, Christmas, February, Easter).
