Your Responsibilities
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing the company's accounts payable process, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports. This role supports financial operations by maintaining strong vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and contributing to the accuracy of financial records.
- Process and verify supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents.
- Ensure proper coding and allocation of expenses according to company policies.
- Prepare and execute payment runs, including bank transfers, and other payment methods.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and build positive supplier relationships.
- Monitor outstanding payables and ensure adherence to payment terms.
- Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
- Support audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, French accounting standards, and internal controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable processes and efficiencies.
What We're Looking For
- Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar accounting role.
- Languages
- Native level in French.
- B2 level in English.
- Communication
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of French accounting principles and accounts payable procedures.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software (Oracle Netsuite).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables) and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Interpersonal Skills
- Ability to collaborate in a diverse and dynamic environment.
