Composites R&D Engineer

Your missions

Customer technical support

• Provide technical expertise on adhesives and composite solutions to European customers.
• Perform testing, validation, and characterization of composite and adhesive materials.
• Develop formal technical recommendations for customer applications.
• Conduct benchmarking programs against competing solutions.
• Supporting customers in the design and optimization of their composite parts.
• Carry out product demonstrations and participate in the industrialization of solutions at customers' sites.
• Participate in strategic technical and commercial meetings with key accounts.

Solution Development

• Design and carry out proofs of concept for the manufacture of composite parts.
• Support the evaluation and launch of new technologies.
• Collaborate with internal R&D teams and external partners to identify new development opportunities.
• Participate in the maintenance of equipment and the continuous improvement of the laboratory.

Project Management

• Manage several technical projects simultaneously.
• Ensure rigorous follow-up of tests, results and recommendations.
• Contribute to successful new product launches and long-term profitability.

Desired profile

Education

• Engineering degree or Master's degree in Materials Science, Composites Engineering, Materials Chemistry and equivalent technical field

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the composites industry.
• Hands-on expertise in the testing and characterization of composite and adhesive materials.
• Significant experience in customer-oriented technical functions.

Technical skills

Excellent mastery of several composite processes:

• Prepreg
• RTM (Resin Transfer Molding)
• Thermoforming
• Autoclave
• Vacuum Bagging
• Bladder Molding

Knowledge appreciated:

• Design of composite parts
• Mold Design
• Industrial Validation
• Intellectual property
• Technical supplier management
