Community Events and Corporate Relationship Manager

The Role

We are seeking an entrepreneurial, outgoing Community Events and Corporate Relationship Manager to join us on a freelance basis. This is far from a standard desk job. Based locally around Lake Geneva, you will be the driving force behind our growth with clear targets for corporate account sign-ups and revenue generation. You will be balancing grassroots community cultivation with commercial B2B development. One day you will host a casual swim and manage our social channels; the next, you will pitch team‑building packages to corporate clients and secure event sponsorships. If you are a self‑starter who loves the outdoors and thrives on building meaningful relationships, this role offers exceptional independence and the freedom to make the position your own.

What You’ll Do

Community Cultivation & Event Management

• Host and lead weekly casual open‑water swims around the lake, acting as the welcoming, trusted face of the association.
• Manage and grow our digital community spaces, including Facebook groups, our website, and engaging regular newsletters.
• Organise and execute world‑class open‑water swimming events featuring hundreds of participants.
• Coordinate freelance event teams, volunteers, and external suppliers to ensure seamless, safe, and memorable experiences.

Corporate & Commercial Growth

• Business Development. Drive revenue by proactively hunting for and converting new B2B opportunities, carrying explicit targets for corporate account sign‑ups (5 per year), overall revenue (€50k), and dedicated corporate event sales.
• Build and nurture strong collaborations with corporate event management companies to scale our corporate packages and team‑building swims.
• Pitch and convert bespoke team‑building swims and corporate wellness packages to businesses across the region.
• Identify, approach, and secure corporate sponsors for our flagship annual swimming events (€45k).
• Serve as the primary point of contact for corporate clients, managing accounts with a long‑term view to ensure high satisfaction and repeat bookings.
• Build and maintain long‑term professional partnerships with local businesses, hospitality partners, and regional stakeholders.

What You Bring

• A proven track record in organising large‑scale sports events, managing logistics, and handling supplier networks.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the natural ability to engage both grassroots swimmers and corporate executives.
• High initiative and a determined, self‑motivated mindset to manage your own schedule and drive commercial results.
• Fluency in written and spoken French and English; knowledge of Italian is a distinct advantage.
• Based locally in the Lake Geneva region with a valid driver’s licence and the willingness to travel frequently around the lake.
• A genuine passion for sports, wellness, or the water.
