Community & Client Development Lead
Château des Joncherets is seeking a charismatic community and client development lead to continue building out our event programming: destination weddings, corporate events, and photoshoots.
This is not a role where you'll be handed a script and a quota. You'll be building something — shaping how Château des Joncherets is discovered, discussed, and remembered across three distinct industries, with real ownership over how we grow. You'll have the freedom to bring your own network, your own instincts, and your own relationships to the table, backed by a property that genuinely delivers on what you promise clients: a setting people fall in love with the moment they walk through the door.
If you're the kind of person who lights up a room, who already knows the wedding planners and event agencies worth knowing, and who wants to help build something rather than simply maintain it — we'd love to talk.
Who we are
We are a private wedding and event venue at the border of the Parisian countryside and Normandy — a place where centuries of history have been refreshed with international designers passionate about restoration. We offer three core services: weddings, corporate events, and photoshoots . Each brings a different kind of client through our gates — a couple planning the most important weekend of their lives, a company reimagining what a seminar can feel like, a creative team chasing the perfect light in our Orangerie or gardens. You'll be the person who welcomes all of them in.The Role
You will be the primary point of contact for prospective wedding, corporate, and photoshoot clients, responsible for growing bookings through your own network, inbound inquiries, and strategic partnerships with wedding planners, corporate event agencies, production companies, and luxury travel advisors. This is a senior, relationship-driven, revenue-generating role suited to someone who already has a proven book of contacts in the luxury events space and can hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full sales pipeline across all three revenue lines — weddings, corporate events, and photoshoots — from first inquiry through contract signature
- Conduct virtual and in-person site visits, presenting the château with warmth and professionalism
- Prepare and negotiate personalized quotes and proposals tailored to each client's needs
- Build and maintain relationships with wedding planners, corporate event agencies, production companies, caterers, and other industry partners to generate referral business
- Represent the château at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
- Recommend trusted local wedding vendors and talent (catering, floristry, photography, entertainment) to clients as needed
- Coordinate with the operations team to ensure sold packages are deliverable and client expectations are met
- Set and track annual booking targets; report on pipeline and conversion regularly
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 6+ years of sales experience, ideally in luxury hospitality, high-end events, real estate, or a comparable client-facing field
- Fluent in French and English, confident leading client conversations and negotiations in either language
- An established network in the wedding, corporate events, and/or photo/production industry in France, ideally Normandy or greater Paris
- A track record of closing high-ticket sales (comparable to château-scale wedding or event budgets)
- Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable owning results independently
Compensation
Commission on confirmed bookings captured by contractor
8% of net contract value HT, with no cap
Flexibility with hours
Free use of chateau for personal use with family and friends once a year
