Job Description

The WISE Centre is looking for a highly motivated and creative Communications, Forum and Partnerships co‑ordinator to support the Head of Engagement and Operations in maximising the visibility and impact of key products through the implementation of promotional activities and events, supporting the organisation of the World Forum on Well‑being and assisting with fundraising efforts.

The successful candidate will welcome the challenges of working in a vibrant, fast‑paced environment where team spirit is key. He/she should have very good drafting, communication and interpersonal skills, a proactive approach and good knowledge of the functioning of an international organisation. He/she will work under the supervision of the Head of Operations and Partnership in WISE and support a new Community of Practice on Social Investment in coordination with the relevant Project Manager.

Main responsibilities

  • Working with the OECD Directorate for Communications and in alignment with the Organisation’s annual communications plan, contribute to the development and implementation of communications plans for key outputs and events, including: identifying opportunities to promote the outputs, preparing communications material, preparing impact reports.
  • Support the delivery of social media strategies for key outputs and other communication outputs, including: preparing engaging content and visuals, and liaising with other Directorates.
  • Contribute to drafting and editing of communications content for brochures, blogs, podcasts, and newsletters, ensuring that all materials are in accordance with OECD communications standards and guidelines as defined by COM, including in the application of the OECD’s branding and visual identity.
  • Support the Publications and Event Co‑ordinator with updating and maintaining WISE’s webpages and producing the monthly newsletter.
  • Support the Head of Engagement and Operations with the implementation of the Centre’s fundraising strategy, working in collaboration with Heads of Units, including: identifying and researching potential partners; contributing suggestions to improve the Centre’s outreach strategy; keeping abreast of current trends in philanthropy and sharing information as relevant; preparing outreach material, messages for partners and briefing materials; supporting fundraising meetings; and tracking existing and potential partners to support relationship management and outreach opportunities.
  • Organise the logistical and administrative aspects of the OECD World Forum on Well‑being: preparing an event retro‑planning and ensuring milestones are met; preparing the logistical and coordination instructions for the on‑site organisation of the event, including the Forum exhibition; managing speaker invitations and confirmations and programme updates; ensuring correct protocol procedures are observed; developing and maintaining a good working relationship with co‑organisers in the host country; dealing with all logistics information requests from speakers and participants; and travelling to the Forum location to liaise with the on‑site logistics team throughout the event.
  • Work in collaboration with the Publications and Event Co‑ordinator to support the organisation of events and meetings of the Working Party on Well‑being Statistics.

Qualifications

Ideal candidate profile

Academic Background

  • A university degree in a relevant field such as communications, marketing, journalism, international relations or any other relevant field.

Professional Background

  • A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a communications, organisation of high‑level events and/or fundraising role with similar responsibilities, preferably in an international context.
  • Excellent written communication skills: experience developing and drafting messages for different audiences and presenting information in a clear, accessible and compelling way.
  • Proven ability to contribute ideas and practical solutions to communications and outreach activities.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to deliver high quality, timely outputs within tight deadlines.

Tools

  • Experience in content management systems
  • Experience in optimisation systems, processes reporting and dashboards
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), and knowledge of software such as InDesign and Adobe Express would be an asset.

Languages

  • Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) and knowledge of the other, with a commitment to reach a good working level.

Contract Duration

  • 36 month fixed‑term appointment.

Selection Process

For retained candidates, the selection process may include a job‑based assessment foreseen early September, and panel interviews planned early to mid‑October.
