I'm currently supporting an international engineering company with an upcoming project in Paris and looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join their onsite team.
This position is aimed at a junior/intermediate engineer with approximately 1-3 years' experience who wants to build broader hands-on commissioning experience. You'll work directly alongside an experienced Lead Commissioning Engineer rather than being expected to manage the commissioning scope yourself.
Responsibilities:
- Starting, testing and troubleshooting pumps
- Testing and repairing valves
- Piping and leak checks
- Instrument configuration and testing
- Testing control programs and automation routines
- Testing alarms and safety interlocks
- Electrical fault finding and troubleshooting
- Supporting process plant start-up activities
- Biogas and process sample analysis
- Working alongside the Lead Engineer to resolve commissioning issues onsite
Requirements:
- 1-3+ years' commissioning, start-up or relevant field engineering experience
- Background in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Process or Chemical Engineering
- Hands-on experience with pumps, valves, instrumentation, piping or process equipment
- Comfortable troubleshooting equipment directly onsite
- Experience within process plants, water/wastewater, biogas, energy, utilities, industrial automation or similar environments is advantageous
- French is and English essential
- Available to work onsite in the Paris area
This is particularly suitable for an engineer looking to gain greater responsibility and exposure across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and automation commissioning while working alongside an experienced Commissioning Lead.
