About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Installation and Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic renewable‑energy company. As a Commission & Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the in‑time delivery of the project and conducting commissioning and installation. You will play a crucial role in project delivery and also help out and collaborate during O & M stage when needed.
Commissioning Planning & Execution
- Develop and execute commissioning plans, procedures and checklists for BESS projects.
- Coordinate commissioning activities with construction, engineering and OEM vendors.
- Ensure commissioning milestones are delivered on schedule.
System Testing & Verification
- Perform functional, performance and reliability tests on BESS equipment (PCS, BMS, EMS).
- Validate integration of electrical, control and communication systems.
- Conduct grid compliance and performance verification tests.
Technical Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare commissioning protocols, test reports and punch‑lists.
- Document non‑conformities and track corrective actions to closure.
Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution
- Identify, diagnose and resolve commissioning‑related technical issues.
- Provide technical support to resolve integration challenges between subsystems.
- Escalate critical issues to engineering/OEM teams when necessary.
Coordination
- Work closely with project managers, construction teams and client representatives.
- Liaise with equipment suppliers and service providers during testing and troubleshooting.
Handover & Post‑Commissioning Support
- Ensure the system is ready for reliable commercial operation.
- Support performance validation during trial operation period.
Qualifications and Expertise
- EHS knowledge and experience within electrical installation projects (RAMS / SHEQ / CDM).
- Previous experience in an Electrical Contracting / BESS OEM.
- Desirable knowledge of electrical works such as renewables, battery storage electric vehicle charge point, PV, installations etc.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Packages.
- Able to organize and prioritise to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Excellent problem solving.
- French driving licence.
- French electrical certifications: B2-BC – H0.
- Language: proficient in English and French.
