Westinghouse Electric Company, a leader in nuclear energy, is seeking a Commercial Director to drive business development and sales activities across the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies for high‑value nuclear services programs, including major component replacements, modernizations, and life‑extension projects.
- Lead the full commercial lifecycle from opportunity identification through contract awards, ensuring disciplined capture execution and structured handover to the Project Director.
- Perform market intelligence and opportunity development—assess the EMEA nuclear LTO market, track industry trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior decision makers at nuclear utilities, government agencies, and industry partners; position Westinghouse as a strategic partner.
- Provide commercial forecasting and governance—accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management, and proposal reporting to senior leadership.
- Negotiate contracts and deal terms—partner with legal, finance, engineering, and risk teams to structure competitive and compliant agreements.
- Maintain product and market expertise—stay current on engineering innovations and industry developments to deliver cost‑effective solutions.
- Lead proposal approvals—direct the process with the Proposal Manager, ensuring offerings align with customer and financial objectives.
- Represent Westinghouse at industry forums, conferences, and customer events; strengthen networks and enhance reputation.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
- 15+ years of experience in sales, business development, or project management in the nuclear industry, focusing on long‑term operations, maintenance, and plant life‑extension projects.
- Experience managing large‑scale projects and securing multi‑million‑dollar contracts within the nuclear or energy sector.
- In‑depth knowledge of nuclear power plant operations, safety protocols, and industry regulations.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
