Previous Commercial Account Handlers have progressed into Account Executive roles, technical positions or gone down the management route. Whilst the accounts that you will be looking after can be tweaked to suit your skills, experience and ambitions in terms of size and complexity, it is likely that you will be dealing with a clients from a variety of industry sectors such as Construction, Electrical and Leisure. Working in close conjunction with Account Executives, you will play a key part in the smooth running of your accounts, including dealing with mid-term-amendments, helping to prepare renewals, and dealing with any questions that may arise. Building a sound understanding of your clients, you will scrutinise their insurance programmes to ensure that their risks are comprehensively covered, and if exposures are found, you will suggest ways to mitigate these.

We welcome applications from insurance professionals of all levels of experience, although ideally, this will include knowledge of a variety of classes of business, gained in a commercial broking environment. However, we do welcome applications from Underwriters and Claims professionals who wish to move into an account handling position. You must also have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) a keen eye for detail, and be well-organised.
