AXA XL Global Technology (GT) division is undergoing a significant transformation, simplifying applications, migrating to cloud platforms, and updating operating models.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and enhance FinOps practices across AXA XL.
• Develop and implement FinOps frameworks, policies, processes, and best practices.
• Create financial dashboards, provide insights and forecasts to senior stakeholders, and train teams on cloud financial responsibility.
• Manage Azure cloud service budgets, participate in CSP negotiations, and conduct FinOps maturity assessments.
• Report on cost accuracy, policy compliance, and initiatives to improve cloud financial management.
• Build data-driven reporting to identify cost-saving opportunities and track utilisation.
• Foster ownership and governance across application development, architecture, finance, and management teams.
• Maintain the AXA XL Cloud business case, updating forecasts and budgets in line with migration ).
• Contribute to the FinOps community of AXA Group, producing quarterly reports.
• Recommend cost savings based on cloud provider pricing models, and drive technical optimisations such as right-sizing.
• Calculate costs, set budgets, and monitor spend against forecasts; liaise with project recharge processes.
• Reconcile monthly invoicing with CSP usage and manage service credits.
• Implement alert frameworks for budget thresholds and anomalies.

Qualifications

• Certified FinOps professional, preferably with finance background. FinOps Certified Practitioner or similar credentials.
• Ability to conduct and present complex analyses, translating results into actionable outcomes for technical, finance, and senior management audiences.
• Strong financial and analytical skills; experience with cloud consumption modelling tools in large-scale IT environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, leadership, and cross-department collaboration skills.
• Good understanding of cloud computing; Azure fundamentals (AZ900) beneficial. Extensive Power BI and Excel expertise.
