Cloud Architect - OpenShift and AI

Overview

At Red Hat, we are looking for a highly experienced Cloud Architect specializing in Infrastructure and AI to join our French Consulting team. The role blends advanced technical implementation with long‑term business strategy, requiring a strategic thinker who can translate high‑level business requirements into actionable architecture designs and drive AI industrialisation for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic scoping and solution design for delivery projects, ensuring proposals are realistic, valuable, and scalable.
• Facilitate discovery, analysis, and design workshops for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership to project teams and guide deployments of Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform and associated infrastructure.
• Design and implement containerized cloud application platform solutions, focusing on networking, storage, security, logging, monitoring, and high availability.
• Advise customers on architecture, technical, and strategic IT requirements and contribute to project approach documents and statements of work.
• Mentor junior consultants, share best practices, and contribute to the wider Red Hat community.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in solution, enterprise, or consulting architecture with a proven record of customer engagement.
• Strong understanding of Open Source communities and experience with Red Hat OpenShift and the Kubernetes ecosystem in large‑scale production environments.
• Deep knowledge of AI value propositions and the ability to position Red Hat’s AI Services. Experience with AI platform engineering is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex concepts and navigating sensitive political environments.
• Proactive in identifying service expansion opportunities and supporting project definition.
• Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) and familiarity with Open Practices is a plus.
• Fluency in French and English required.
• Willingness to travel within France and the EMEA region for client sites.
