Clinical Site Lead - Medical Devices - EMEA

We are seeking a Clinical Site Lead to join our Clinical Operations team in EMEA. In this field-based role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for investigative sites and play a critical role in the successful execution of clinical studies across Abbott therapies and business units. You will partner with investigators, study teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure high-quality study conduct, regulatory compliance, and achievement of enrollment and data quality objectives. This position offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of clinical research, contributing to innovative therapies that improve patient outcomes worldwide.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clinical sites, building strong partnerships with investigators and research teams.
- Lead site activation, enrollment, monitoring, and closeout activities to ensure successful study execution.
- Support sites in achieving enrollment, data quality, and study milestone objectives.
- Conduct monitoring visits and review study data to ensure compliance with protocol, GCP, and regulatory requirements.
- Train and support site personnel on study procedures and requirements.
- Drive issue resolution, support audit readiness, and ensure timely reporting of study-related events.
- Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Study Management, Site Operations, and commercial teams to optimize study performance.
- Provide regular updates on site and study progress while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring
- Degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Engineering, Healthcare, or a related field, or equivalent clinical research experience.
- Experience in clinical research, site management, monitoring, or a related healthcare environment.
- Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), clinical trial regulations, and quality standards.
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional and international teams.
- Fluent in English and willing to travel extensively (up to 70%). Additional European languages are a plus.
