Clinical NLP Research Engineer — Remote, Equity Eligible

Retrievant SAS is seeking a Research Engineer, Clinical Document Understanding, to turn scanned charts, faxes and free‑text notes into structured, coded clinical data. You’ll own the clinical reader: layout analysis, OCR, extraction and ICD-10/SNOMED/LOINC/RxNorm coding, and help design confidence calibration with clinicians.

You’ll develop explainable reconciler rules, perform rigorous evaluation on messy real‑world data, and ensure the model says ‘I’m not sure’ when needed.
