Civil Supervisor

Introduction

• We are looking for a Senior CSA (Civil, Structural & Architectural) Supervisor with a strong civil construction background and significant experience in industrial and brownfield environments, preferably within LNG or Oil & Gas facilities.
• The ideal candidate has substantial field experience in industrial construction, especially concrete repair and underground works, capable of managing contractors and ensuring safe execution of works within a live LNG terminal environment.

Function

• Supervision and control of concrete repair works, including inspection of repair methods, application of repair mortars and resins, quality verification, and monitoring of installed quantities. This is one of the most critical activities of the position.
• Supervision of structural concrete and steel structure repair activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Supervision of excavation works, including safety compliance, excavation stability, and execution control within an operating industrial facility.
• Supervision of piling activities, ensuring correct installation and compliance with engineering requirements.
• Close supervision of underground piping installation works, including alignment, leveling, protection, testing, and preservation of existing facilities. This is also considered a critical activity due to the brownfield nature of the project.
• Daily coordination with contractors, construction management, HSE, quality teams, and other discipline supervisors.
• Monitoring construction progress, reporting productivity and work status, and supporting schedule achievement.
• Ensuring compliance with project HSE requirements and French regulatory standards.
• Management and follow-up of work permits and site authorization processes.
• Participation in inspections, punch-list activities, quality surveillance, and final acceptance processes.

Requirements

• Civil Engineer (or equivalent qualification).
• Minimum 10 years of experience supervising civil construction works in industrial projects.
• Previous experience in LNG, Oil & Gas, petrochemical, energy, or other heavy industrial facilities is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience supervising:
• Concrete repair works.
• Excavations.
• Piling activities.
• Underground piping installation.
• Good understanding of French construction regulations, including Eurocodes and related civil standards.
• Experience working in brownfield environments where activities are performed close to existing operating facilities.
• Strong commitment to HSE and quality management.
• Native or bilingual French language capability is essential. English communication skills are also desirable.
