Civil Litigation Paralegal - Construction Law (234/o) in , us

Leading law firm specializing in construction law is looking to add a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to their team. Ideal candidates will have experience in construction law and/or civil litigation, filing in state and federal court and be able to handle a variety of tasks to support the attorneys.

This position is full time on site at the firm's Columbia, SC office.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in preparing and reviewing legal documents related to construction projects.
• Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases.
• Manage case files and maintain organized records.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and other parties involved in construction projects.
• Draft correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Coordinate and schedule meetings, depositions, and court appearances.
• Perform administrative tasks such as court filings, scanning, and data entry.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a civil litigation paralegal.
• Experience with construction law is a plus.
• Bachelor's/Associate Degree or Paralegal Certificate is a plus.
• Must have experience filing in state and federal court.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
