Overview
The Civil Law Associate Attorney will join the Civil Law Practice Area Group (PAG), serving clients in Henderson County and western North Carolina. The position involves working with a mentor and assigned case manager, attending court and related proceedings, and handling case-related tasks from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- New client consultations
- Attend court, mediations, and depositions
- Research and prepare cases for court
- Case reviews
- PAG team trainings
- Communicate with clients in person, by phone, virtually, and in writing
- Ensure the ultimate client experience
- Provide top-quality client service during current client meetings
- Handle a high volume of cases
- Navigate cases from start to finish with other team members
Qualifications
- Licensed member of the North Carolina Bar in good standing
- Previous law firm and litigation experience is not required; all levels will be considered
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and to manage relationships with clients and colleagues
