Overview

J. Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is looking for an experienced professional to establish and build a Civil Engineering Practice in its Sacramento, CA office. The role leads the efforts in identifying growth opportunities, business development and marketing, and client service to achieve sustainable practice growth. The pay range for this position is $124,000–$224,000 based on experience and location, plus overtime pay and additional benefits.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience
• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
• California Professional Civil Engineer License
• Local connections or an existing professional network with developers, architects, businesses, clients, regulatory agencies, etc.
• Demonstrated experience preparing engineering plans for permitting and construction and working with regulatory agencies to secure project approvals
• Ability to network and develop strong client relationships
• Demonstrated skills in technical oversight and project management, including quality reviews of design aspects such as site layouts, grading plans, stormwater management, utilities, and supporting calculations
• Ability and experience recruiting, mentoring, and leading a diverse professional staff to provide integrated client services
