Civil Engineer (5+ years) in , us

Coffman Engineers is seeking a highly skilled, self‑motivated, licensed Civil Engineer to join our team in Anchorage, where you will apply engineering skills to challenging projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with clients and teaming partners by providing comprehensive civil engineering services.
• Perform design development, permitting, and construction support from initial feasibility and master planning through design and construction phases.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the growth and success of the engineering group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE).
• 5+ years of experience in design development, permitting, and construction assistance across sectors such as oil and gas, military, and public sector projects.
• Experience with engineering practices tailored to the Alaskan (arctic and sub‑arctic) climate.
• Experience in multi‑discipline settings.
• Experience with both urban and rural infrastructure throughout Alaska.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time‑management skills.
• Interest and ability to mentor junior engineers.
