Essential Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare engineering design drawings and figures for a variety of project types including dams, levees, hydraulic structures, canals, pump stations, building foundations, civil site design, water supply systems, and retaining walls.
- Design and layout grading plans, heavy civil projects, and roadways, and detail concrete, steel, and timber structures.
- Implement CAD standards based on project and client needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- A.S. degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related field.
- 3+ years of computer-aided design and drafting experience.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D, including creating and modifying alignments, profiles, sections, plan views, surfaces, grading groups, corridors, point data, blocks, and label styles.
- Ability to generate quantity take‑offs using AutoCAD.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D 2020 or higher; customization and programming experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
- Experience creating subassemblies using Subassembly Composer (plus).
- Knowledge of pipe networks and pressure networks (plus).
- Structural 3D drafting and design experience in Revit or other BIM software (plus).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; strong work ethic; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Potential exposure to blood‑borne pathogens, chemicals, airborne communicable diseases.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures, radiation, uneven surfaces or elevations, extreme noise levels, dust/particulate matter.
- Work can occur in various office or field settings.
