Overview

J+M Infrastructure is a Civil‑Site & Utilities Contractor that excels in Civil Construction and Site Development Contracting with an emphasis on Utilities and Excavation. We assist with new construction projects by performing demolition, clearing, excavation, asphalt paving, concrete work, water mains, sewer and storm drainage throughout central and southwest Virginia. We are looking for qualified candidates to work on our construction sites located in Charlottesville and the Lynchburg, VA area.

Qualifications

Work experience: 6‑10 years. Education: minimum high school diploma or GED. Valid driver’s license required, CDL.

Skills

• Calculate, shoot, and set grade elevations.
• Calculate volume/cubic yards of material and tonnage for stone.
• Read survey and help lay out stakes, read plans and blueprints.
• Operate equipment such as bulldozers, track‑hoe, backhoe, loader, skid‑steer, roller, etc.
• Supervise and lead crew.
• Manage and oversee job site and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe site, ensuring the safety of team members at all times.
• Plan, schedule and execute daily tasks for site and crew.
• Meet daily production goals.
• Work as an operator while still leading the site and crew.
• Communicate effectively.
• Pass drug testing as this is a drug‑free workplace.
