CTO – LegalTech (Paris-based Scale-up)

Package: €140,000 – €150,000 + Equity (Flexibility for "Unicorn" profiles)

The Role

This is a high-level leadership and strategy position for someone who has "been there and done it" in the 1–100 employee bracket. You will not be expected to be hands‑on with code; your focus will be on architecting growth, culture, and AI strategy.

• Engineering Leadership: Move the current squad structure into a professionalised, high-performance organisation as it scales from 25 to 60+ engineers.
• AI Strategy: Drive the roadmap for generative and agentic AI products, ensuring the platform remains the global "source of truth" for legal intelligence.
• Trust & Safety: Lead the business on AI governance and high-level security, ensuring the infrastructure meets the "bank‑grade" requirements of global law firms.

Your Profile

• Experience: Circa 15 years in software engineering, with proven experience in CTO or Senior Leadership roles.
• Scale-up DNA: You must have experience in a company sized 1–100, specifically taking a team through the Series B inflexion point (25 to 60+ people).
• AI/SaaS Expertise: Deep background in building and scaling AI-heavy SaaS platforms. You understand RAG, LLM orchestration, and the importance of AI safety.
• Strategic Mindset: Strong architectural and system design skills with the ability to translate complex business goals into a technical roadmap.
