The Group Chief Procurement Officer defines and deploys the Group procurement strategy for this high-technology company, with the objective of sustainably securing supply to manufacturing sites while delivering significant cost reductions across both direct and indirect spend. The CPO drives supply performance, structures strategic supplier relationships and harmonizes procurement practices across the Group in a demanding technological environment.
Scope- Supply and securing parts availability for production
Ensure a high level of availability of components and materials required for production, particularly for critical technological and electronic components, by measurably reducing shortages and supply disruptions. Implement robust processes and KPIs to monitor supplier performance (OTIF, shortage rate, lead time, capacity reliability). Develop strong partnerships with strategic suppliers to anticipate risks, secure capacity and improve overall supply chain resilience. Work closely with industrial, R&D, supply chain and planning teams to align procurement strategies with operational needs, technology roadmaps and production plans.
Group cost reduction and procurement strategy optimization
Define and lead structured Group-wide cost reduction plans covering both direct and indirect procurement in a high value-added technological context. Optimize the supplier base by consolidating volumes with key and strategic suppliers, particularly for electronic and technology-related categories, rather than maintaining excessive geographic supplier diversity, in order to maximize negotiation leverage and overall performance. Drive indirect cost reduction initiatives by harmonizing procurement governance and management rules across the Group and standardizing practices. Renegotiate all or part of existing contracts (suppliers, services, outsourced activities) to improve economic, contractual and operational conditions. Actively contribute to Group value creation by balancing cost performance, supply security and risk management.
Profile
Proven experience in Group or international procurement roles, ideally within a high-technology industrial environment. Strong expertise in direct procurement, supply chain and strategic supplier management, combined with solid experience in indirect procurement. Background or demonstrated knowledge in electronics and electronic components is a strong advantage. Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional cost reduction programs. Strong leadership and results-driven mindset, with the ability to design and deploy strategies at an international scale. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a pragmatic and performance-oriented approach.
