Chief Operating Officer - (F/M)
Created in 2009, ESSP is a young and dynamic pan-European service provider, certified by EASA to deliver safety-critical services. Its mission is to operate and provide Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) services, mainly the EGNOS service on behalf of the EUSPA.

Responsibilities
- Reinforce transversal coordination between the three operational units, ensuring consistent delivery and alignment across the company.
- Oversee service delivery, system operations and operational compliance.
- Manage operational risks, incidents and escalations.
- Supervise complex multi-unit projects, optimise costs and pursue efficiency and synergies.
- Support implementation of standards and audits.
- Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Anticipate and prepare for future technical developments.
Activities to be achieved
- Report and work closely with the Chief Executive Officer on all technical, critical and strategic operational issues.
- Collaborate with the three operational Directors to harmonise resources and support resource management.
- Work with the Chief Financial Officer and the Strategy and Business Development Unit to align operational execution with company objectives and financial performance.
- Support the System Operations Unit and Service Provision Unit on technical improvement methods.
- Directly supervise Service Managers, ensuring quality, compliance and monitoring performance across all service lines.
- Coordinate Services Managers with Key Account Managers and Strategy and Business Development to align operational priorities with customer and market needs.
- Ensure adherence to certifications and standards, oversee audits and support closure of findings with the Compliance Management Unit.
- Support corporate improvements linked to the operating system (Security, Quality Management, Project & Service control, Risks and Business Continuity systems).
- Identify and address operational risks, acting as the main escalation point between units and services to anticipate issues and de-risk execution.

Job Requirements
Engineering degree or equivalent.
Available for regular travels mainly in Europe. Subject to constraints of minimum presence during normal vacation periods (July/August, Christmas, February, Easter).
