Overview

Burgess Recruitment is urgently seeking a temp Mate for a 40m+ charter yacht. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in deck operations, leadership skills, and the ability to assist the Captain in daily yacht management.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Captain with daily yacht management and deck operations
• Support vessel safety and security procedures
• Oversee tender operations as required
• Maintain vessel readiness and cleanliness in line with charter schedules

Qualifications

• Yacht Master Offshore CE
• ECDIS
• GMDSS
• 2 years’ experience in similar roles essential
• Charter experience essential
• Excellent tender driver
• Schengen Visa or right to work in the EU essential

• Start date: ASAP
• End Date: October 2026
• Location: France
• Salary: EUR 5800
• Leave: 3.32 days/month
• Vessel & itinerary: Very busy charter vessel – Med cruising
