Chief of Staff
Paris
€60,000 - 68,000 + Bonus
Role summary
Right hand to the CEO and COO. A role spanning four dimensions: strategic projects, executive support, business operations, and cross-functional coordination. Designed for a versatile mid-career operator who wants to be at the centre of how AROS runs — and who's prepared to flex between strategic work and operational execution day to day.
Reports to the COO. Strong dotted line to the CEO.
Key responsibilities
Strategic projects (right hand)
- Lead special projects on behalf of the CEO and COO: commercial initiatives, operational improvements, internal investigations, market analysis.
- Prepare materials for strategic decisions: business cases, supplier/client analyses, pricing reviews, growth planning.
- Drive cross-functional initiatives that don't naturally sit with a single function (e.g., rolling out new commercial pricing model, integrating a new client onboarding process).
- Represent the CEO or COO in select internal and external meetings when needed.
Business operations
- Build and maintain AROS Paris's internal reporting cadence: weekly ops review, monthly business review, KPI dashboards across functions (PD, Quality, Purchasing, CSR, commercial).
- Run the operating rhythm: ensure leadership team meetings happen, agendas are set, decisions are captured, follow-ups close.
- Coordinate cross-functional execution — make sure decisions made by leadership actually land in PD, Quality, Purchasing, and CSR.
- Partner with finance on budget tracking and operational variance analysis.
Executive support
- Manage the principal's calendar, prioritization, and inbox triage as needed.
- Coordinate travel, meetings, and external relationships at the executive level.
- Prepare briefing materials for client meetings, board calls, and visits from NYC leadership.
Cross-functional coordination & NYC liaison
- Primary liaison between AROS Group offices — keep all sides aligned on priorities, decisions, and operational status.
- Coordinate visiting NYC leadership trips end-to-end (agenda, meetings, logistics, follow-ups).
- Surface issues early — when something is slipping, broken, or politically sensitive, the CoS catches it before it reaches leadership.
Profile
- 5–8 years of experience in a combination of strategy, consulting, business operations, or program management — ideally with at least some exposure to luxury, fashion, or consumer product industries.
- Strong analytical skills: comfortable building business cases, financial models, and reporting dashboards.
- Strong written and verbal communication — must be able to write executive-grade materials in both French and English.
- Highly organised, discreet, low-ego, comfortable with ambiguity.
- Versatile: equally comfortable running a strategic project, building a dashboard, or coordinating a CEO visit.
- Fluent French + fluent English (both mandatory — the role bridges Paris and NYC daily).
