An innovative AI Biotech company is seeking a highly organised and commercially minded Chief of Staff to work closely with the CEO and executive leadership team. Operating at the intersection of artificial intelligence, computational biology, and drug discovery, the company is scaling rapidly and looking for someone who can drive strategic initiatives, improve operational efficiency, and ensure alignment across the business.
This is a high-impact role suited to someone who thrives in fast-paced startup environments and enjoys solving complex operational and strategic challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted partner to the CEO, supporting strategic planning and company-wide execution.
- Drive cross‑functional initiatives across Product, Engineering, Scientific, Commercial, and Operations teams.
- Establish and improve operational processes, reporting structures, and business workflows.
- Coordinate executive meetings, board meetings, leadership off‑sites, and strategic planning sessions.
- Track company objectives, OKRs, and key business metrics, ensuring accountability across departments.
- Support fundraising activities, investor communications, and board reporting.
- Lead strategic projects from concept through execution, ensuring deadlines and milestones are achieved.
- Partner with People Operations to support organisational growth, hiring plans, and internal communications.
- Identify operational risks and recommend solutions to improve efficiency as the company scales.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a Chief of Staff, Strategy, Operations, Consulting, or Programme Management role.
- Experience working within a high‑growth startup or scale‑up, ideally in AI, biotech, healthtech, SaaS, or life sciences.
- Strong project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working directly with executive leadership.
- Commercially minded with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Comfortable handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Fluent in English; French is advantageous.
- Experience supporting Series A, Series B, or later‑stage venture‑backed businesses.
- Exposure to investor relations, fundraising, or board reporting.
- Familiarity with AI, computational biology, drug discovery, or life sciences.
- Experience implementing operational frameworks, business planning processes, and performance reporting.
- Knowledge of tools such as Notion, Jira, Asana, Monday.com, Slack, or similar collaboration platforms.
