Chief Investment Officer

Snipe RH is advising on the creation of a fund of funds dedicated to financing the transition of agricultural operations toward biogenerative and regenerative models , sponsored by a leading global institutional investor.

This initiative aims to establish a best-in-class, institutional investment platform focused on accelerating agricultural transformation while delivering robust, long-term risk-adjusted returns.

We are seeking a Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to define, lead and institutionalize the investment strategy from inception.

The Opportunity

The platform will allocate capital to carefully selected specialist funds and strategies supporting:

• The transition of farms toward sustainable and biogenerative practices
• Agricultural resilience and soil restoration
• Sustainable value chain structuring
• Innovative financing and technology solutions serving the agricultural ecosystem

The ambition is to build a reference institutional platform in agricultural transition, with a disciplined investment framework and strong governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the sponsor and serving as a member of the executive leadership team, the CIO will:

• Define and implement the overall investment strategy and allocation framework
• Establish underwriting standards, portfolio construction principles and risk management policies
• Lead the sourcing, selection and due diligence of underlying funds
• Chair or lead the Investment Committee
• Structure and negotiate key transactions
• Oversee portfolio monitoring and performance analysis
• Build and manage the investment team as the platform scales
• Engage with institutional investors and contribute to fundraising efforts
• Ensure best-in-class governance, reporting and ESG integration

The role combines strategic leadership, institutional rigor and platform-building responsibility.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive experience in private equity, fund of funds, private markets or impact investing , ideally with leadership responsibility
• Demonstrated track record in manager selection and portfolio construction
• Strong institutional credibility with senior stakeholders and investors
• Proven ability to design and implement investment governance frameworks
• Strategic vision combined with disciplined execution
• Strong interest in sustainability, agricultural transition and long-term structural themes

The successful candidate will combine investment authority, leadership maturity and the capacity to build a platform within a global institutional environment.
