Our client is a Global Industrial key player and is looking for his CHRO.
This is a high‑visibility Executive role for an ambitious HR leader who wants to shape the future of an industrial group and leave a lasting mark on its culture, organization, and performance.
The CHRO is a key member of the Executive Committee and the strategic partner to the CEO, responsible for designing and deploying the people strategy of an international industrial group. This role shapes culture, capabilities and organization to support growth, transformation, and operational excellence across plants, R&D centers and corporate functions.
Key responsibilities
- Strategic HR leadership
- Define and lead the global HR strategy aligned with the group’s business ambitions and industrial roadmap.
- Act as trusted advisor to the CEO and EXCOM on all people, organization, and culture topics.
- Anticipate skills, organization and leadership needs to support growth, restructuring, and industrial footprint evolution.
- Culture, engagement and change
- Build a strong, performance‑driven and inclusive culture rooted in safety, ethics, and operational excellence.
- Design and deploy engagement plans, listening mechanisms, and action plans to boost motivation and retention.
- Lead the people dimension of major transformation projects: digitalization, Industry 4.0, new ways of working, M&A, restructuring.
- Talent, leadership and succession
- Define a compelling employer value proposition for industrial and technical talents.
- Implement robust processes for talent acquisition, assessment, development, and succession planning for critical roles (plant managers, experts, leaders).
- Deploy leadership development programs and academies adapted to managers at plant, regional and corporate levels.
- Industrial relations and social dialogue
- Pilot social relations strategy in France and internationally, in close cooperation with country HR and plant HR.
- Steer negotiations and social agreements on key topics (working time, flexibility, compensation, transformation projects).
- Ensure a constructive and transparent dialogue with unions, works councils and employee representatives.
- HR operations and performance
- Oversee HR operations excellence: payroll, administration, HRIS, data accuracy, and process standardization.
- Drive HR analytics and dashboards to support data‑driven decisions on headcount, skills, performance, and costs.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and internal policies in all countries of operation.
- Compensation, benefits and performance
- Define competitive and coherent compensation & benefits policies across countries and populations.
- Align variable pay, incentive schemes and recognition with business performance and safety/quality objectives.
- Oversee performance management processes, ensuring clarity of objectives and fair evaluation culture.
- Inclusion, diversity and CSR
- Promote diversity, equity and inclusion at all levels, particularly in leadership and technical roles.
- Integrate HR into the group’s CSR roadmap, including quality of life at work, health & safety, and community engagement.
- Ensure alignment between people policies and the group’s environmental and social commitments.
Profile requested
- Master’s degree in HR, Business, Law, or equivalent.Additional executive education (MBA, business school, or top HR programs) is a plus.
- 15+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Proven track record as HR Director/CHRO at country, regional or business unit level, ideally in an international group.
- Strong experience in social relations in France and exposure to multi-country HR management.
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and deep understanding of industrial operations and constraints.
- Demonstrated ability to lead transformation, manage complex change, and support leaders through challenging contexts.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to engage with shopfloor employees, experts, and board members.
- Strong leadership, resilience, integrity, and ability to take clear decisions while fostering collaboration.
- Fluent French and English; another European language is an asset.
