Position Overview
An innovative, early-stage company operating at the intersection of healthcare data and clinical diagnostics is seeking a commercially driven Chief Business Officer (CBO) to join the executive leadership team.
Working directly alongside the CEO, you will be the primary architect of the company’s global commercial strategy as it prepares to close its Series A funding round. The ideal candidate will blend high-level strategic vision with hands‑on executive agility, bringing a proven track record of scaling businesses within data-driven healthcare, bioinformatics, or medical software (SaaS) environments.
The company develops proprietary software solutions that optimize clinical decision‑making in oncology. Your mission will be to transform this cutting‑edge technology into structured revenue streams, expanding market adoption across hospital networks, pathology labs, biotechnology firms, and pharmaceutical giants.
Key Responsibilities
- Executive Partnership : Act as the CEO’s strategic commercial advisor and right hand in driving corporate growth.
- Go‑To‑Market Strategy : Design, structure, and execute the global commercial framework for a scalable B2B medical platform.
- International Distribution : Establish, negotiate, and manage European (OEU) distributor networks and channel partnerships.
- B2B Pipeline Development : Build, lead, and scale high‑value commercial relationships with hospitals, clinical labs, and pharma stakeholders.
- Institutional Structuring : Bring commercial discipline, metrics, and momentum to an agile, rapidly evolving early‑stage organization.
- Investor Relations Support : Assist the leadership team in fundraising activities, articulating the commercial value proposition to Series A investors and beyond.
Ideal Background
- Early‑Stage Scaling : Proven success navigating and scaling businesses from late‑seed through Series A/B growth phases.
- Domain Expertise : Deep commercial leadership experience within complex, science‑led environments, specifically healthcare SaaS, bioinformatics, or molecular diagnostics.
- Stakeholder Management : Exceptional ability to engage, influence, and close deals with both highly technical clinical buyers and corporate pharmaceutical executives.
- Regulatory Acumen : Familiarity with commercializing products within regulated healthcare frameworks (e.g., CE‑IVD, medical device software).
- Entrepreneurial Execution : A proactive, self‑starting mindset characterized by a willingness to execute hands‑on tasks while simultaneously building a team.
- Geographic Presence : Based in France or Switzerland, or fully prepared to relocate to either hub.
