Role Description The Chef de Mission Comptable at Michael Advisory will oversee accounting and audit assignments from planning through completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables and compliance with applicable standards. This full-time, hybrid role is based in Tassin-la-Demi-Lune, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising accounting operations, reviewing financial statements, coordinating audit procedures, and serving as the main contact for client engagements. The role involves coaching and guiding team members, organizing workflows, and contributing to process improvements. The Chef de Mission Comptable will also participate in advisory projects, prepare reports and recommendations, and support the training and development of junior staff.

Qualifications

• Strong Accounting skills, including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and knowledge of French accounting standards.
• Experience in Auditing, with the ability to plan, execute, and review audit engagements in compliance with professional standards.
• Consulting capabilities, including client advisory, financial analysis, and the ability to translate technical findings into practical recommendations.
• Team Management and Training skills to lead assignments, mentor junior team members, and support knowledge sharing.
• Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., DEC, DSCG, or equivalent) are an asset.
• Solid understanding of tax and regulatory requirements applicable to French entities.
• Proficiency with accounting and ERP software; strong Excel and report-writing skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to manage multiple client files and deadlines.
• Effective communication skills in French; working knowledge of English is an advantage.
