How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW at Air Liquide?

En tant que responsable de site, sous la responsabilité du directeur de projet, vous serez chargé de superviser l'exécution sur site de projets industriels à grande échelle (supérieurs à 100 millions d'euros), en veillant au strict respect des objectifs en matière de sécurité, de qualité, de calendrier et de coûts. Vous dirigerez des équipes multidisciplinaires, gérerez plusieurs sous-traitants et serez l'interface principale entre le chantier, la direction du projet, l'ingénierie et le client.

This role is essential to the safe and successful delivery of major EPC projects, including Air Separation Units, Hydrogen production units (Electrolyser), CO₂ capture facilities, and other industrial plants.

You will join a committed team whose mission is to carry out major industrial projects to support the energy transition, within a corporate culture focused on safety. In an international and dynamic context, our team is currently experiencing strong growth. You will join a group of 35 people based across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and the engineering phase of the project by ensuring the constructability.
• Define the Construction Strategy, the construction planning, staffing and the Subcontracting Plan.
• Assist the subcontracting department for the preparation of the subcontracts and the selection of the site subcontractors.
• Be Accountable for the Safety at site through a “Safety Delegation”. Implement and enforce HSE procedures and promote a proactive safety culture at all levels of site operations.
• Lead all activities, including civil works, mechanical installation, piping, electrical & instrumentation, and commissioning as well as QC and administration to safely deliver the project on time, on budget and with the expected level of quality.
• Represent Air Liquide as the main authority on site, leading the team, interacting with external and internal stakeholders and ensuring full compliance with contractual obligations and company standards.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel across all disciplines and phases.
• Drive progress tracking, reporting, and planning in coordination with the project controls team.
• Identify and resolve technical and execution issues, signal risks and manage change effectively.
• Prepare and conduct regular progress meetings with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure a proper hand over from Construction to Commissioning system completion, punch list closure, and smooth handover to commissioning teams.
• Be accountable for the preparation of all the required quality records to achieve Mechanical Completion and Hand-over to the Operations or the end customer.
• Contribute to project close-out and lessons learned processes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Engineering degree in mechanical, industrial, civil, or electrical engineering, or equivalent technical background.
• Minimum 8 years of site management experience on large industrial EPC projects (Oil & Gas, Chemical, Energy, or similar sectors).
• Having successfully managed a site for a complete project.
• Proven leadership in multicultural and multidisciplinary site environments.
• Strong technical expertise in construction sequencing, interfaces, and systems turnover.
• Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With Client-facing Experience.
• Deep knowledge of HSE and quality management systems.
• Fluent in English (mandatory); French and/or additional languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel and be assigned to international project sites for extended periods (18–36 months).
